The drama students at Godwin High School have been chosen and invited to participate this August in The Edinburgh Fringe Festival - in Edinburgh, Scotland! This is the world’s largest arts festival where in 2009 over 28,000 performances in some 261 venues were showcased throughout one of the world’s most historic and famous cities. At this festival, the students will perform the musical Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street. To expand the educational value of this trip, time will also be spent in London, England, experiencing its history, culture, and theatre world. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity is something the students have been working hard for all year, studying and honing their singing, dancing and performing skills.
